KempQ hired me to overhaul thumbnails and edit his RuneScape videos, with a focus on hooks, pacing, and packaging. I rebuilt thumbnails around high-contrast character close-ups and readable 3–4-word headlines, tested variants within the first 48 hours, and aligned color palettes to boss/fight themes for instant context. CTR rose from 5.9% to 9.8%, first-30-second retention improved from 74% to 86%, average view duration increased 38% (4:12 → 5:47), and total watch time grew 1.6×. Suggested traffic share climbed 41%, Browse impressions were up 23%, end-screen CTR doubled (3.1% → 6.2%), and returning viewers increased 32% month over month, helping the channel gain momentum and push more videos into recommendation loops.
